About kelly

Hi there, my name is Kelly and I am currently accepting new clients for individual and couples therapy sessions, available both in person and online.

To share a bit about my background, I hold a master’s degree in counselling from Providence University and Seminary in Manitoba. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC-ACS) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BCACC (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors), along with being a Certified Professional Counsellor (CPC) with PACCP. Additionally, I proudly belong to both the Canadian and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Originally from Victoria, BC, I recently returned to the island with my family after spending many years in Calgary and 12 years as a missionary counsellor in Rwanda, Africa, where I established a Counselling and Training Centre in Kigali.

With over 20 years of clinical experience in various counselling, training, and supervision roles, I am dedicated to being an empathetic and engaged listener. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges that affect their daily lives. As a counsellor, I am honored to walk alongside you, guiding you in navigating your concerns and uncovering resources to support you on this journey. My goal is to create a safe space where you can be authentically yourself.

I believe that developing a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for emotional and psychological healing. My clients are the experts in their own lives and should be in the driver's seat during therapy. 

Counselling is a journey, not a destination, and I recognize that each person requires an individualized approach. I utilize an integrated method in my practice, combining person-centred, attachment-based, and emotion-focused techniques. My areas of expertise include couples therapy Victoria, pre-marital counselling, identity issues, mental health, cross-cultural living, and spirituality. Additionally, I am an Enneagram Accredited Practitioner.
